Preschool Assistant Teacher Position

Open Arms Christian Preschool is a non-profit, ministry of River Road United Methodist Church and is hiring for Full Time Assistant Teachers to support our wonderful Preschool Program. These positions are permanent full time positions that are open and can begin training now, for this school year, in June or in August for the new school year. Scheduled work hours for the open positions are Monday - Friday (8:30am-5:00pm; with a 30 min. break) 40 hour work week is guaranteed each week and will include paid time/holiday benefits after 90 days of employment. To be considered for this position candidate will have a love of Christ, be a kind, considerate, loving person, be committed to the Education of young children, have experience working with young children in a professional setting, and looking for long term commitment in early education.

We are a private preschool program (9am-12pm) that also offers additional hours for children to attend the before school (8am-9am) and/or afterschool (12pm-5pm) programs. We operate as a Private School offering all our staff paid time during school closures including; teacher workweeks (2 weeks= 10 days per year), teacher in-service workdays (5-8 days per year), closures & holidays (15 days) , Thanksgiving Break (3 days), 2 weeks Christmas vacation (10 days), 1 week spring vacation (5 days), 1 week summer vacation (5 days), Personal Paid Days Off and paid days for all closures due to inclement weather. We also offer our staff paid trainings and access to online classes in Early Education to further their career in Early Education.
