Job description
We are a religious not-for-profit business in Ashburn, Virginia. Our goal is to help children learn and grow through play and hands-on activities. We are fun, creative, and take pride in what we do.
Our work environment includes:
- On-the-job training: we provide ongoing training as well as professional development days twice per year

We are looking for an experienced teacher to join our team
- Plan and lead activities to engage children's cognitive skills, abilities, and development.
- Provide continuous supervision, ensuring the health and safety of the children in your care.
- Observe children's behavior for regular assessment and parental feedback.
- Assist with ongoing parent communications.
Full-time position, year-round with benefits.
Shift is 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
The rate of pay is based on your related education; credit is given for experience in the field.
Must have at least 1 year of supervised, programmatic experience in a school, daycare, or child care facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Associate's degree, CDA, or other Education-related degree is preferred; may substitute industry experience and training in lieu of degree.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

- We are looking for a teacher to work in our Infant and Older Infant classrooms. How comfortable are you working with children aged 3 months to 18 months?
- Our curriculum includes attending chapel weekly, sharing Bible stories, and creating Bible-based activities for the students in each classroom. Do you have any experience working or volunteering in a church or church-related environment that you can use at Open Arms? If yes, please share some information about your relevant exerience.
- Are you able to work the closing shift of 9:30am to 6:00pm? We hire for our closing shift and move people into earlier shifts only when they become available.
