What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Live-in Caregiver position at Open Arms Assisted Living?
This position is for an In-Home/Live-in Caregiver. Open Arms Assisted Living home has two high functioning female adults . The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years experience and/or a 2 year degree with internship experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. The candidate should be reliable, consistent, patient, self motivating, and social. The candidate must have strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and writing skills.
The following duties are required as part of the position :
- Meal preparation/cooking.
- Own transportation to transport clients to appointments and activities.
- Daily house cleaning.
- Daily detailed note writing
- Medication assistance.
- Following the residents plans of care and goals.
The typical work schedule will begin Friday at 7:00pm and will go through Sunday at 7:00pm. There is some flexibility to start and end times. Staff are required to stay at the home for the duration of the work schedule. When residents are out of the home at community events, staff is allowed to use that time as they desire.
The salary is $3,100 per month . This is a weekend position. $500 bonus after 6 months of employment.
Requirements :
- Adult CPR/First Aid certification.
- TB test card.
- Background check with fingerprints.
- Clean background.
- Minimum two years of experience.
- Good driving record.
