Position Overview
The Architectural Project Coordinator is a key contributor to the delivery of architectural projects at Open Architecture. This role is hands-on and Revit-centric, focused on production, coordination, and documentation quality across all project phases.
The Project Coordinator supports Project Architects and Project Managers by executing work within the Revit model, maintaining drawing accuracy, and helping ensure projects move forward efficiently and in alignment with Open Architecture’s standards and processes. This position is not a project management or client-lead role, but it is critical to successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revit Production & Documentation
· Produce architectural models and construction documents using Autodesk Revit
· Support SD, DD, and CD phases with accurate, well-organized drawings
· Maintain model health, including views, sheets, worksets, and basic family management
· Implement redlines and QA/QC comments efficiently and accurately
· Assist with drawing set assembly, consistency, and coordination
2. Project Team Support
· Work closely with Project Architects and Project Managers to execute assigned tasks
· Communicate progress, questions, and constraints clearly to the project team
· Support internal coordination efforts and help maintain project schedules
· Assist with preparation of internal and external project deliverables
3. Consultant Coordination
· Link and manage consultant models and drawings within Revit
· Support coordination with structural, MEP, and civil consultants
· Assist with identifying and resolving basic coordination issues under direction of senior staff
4. QA/QC & Process Compliance
· Follow Open Architecture’s QA/QC procedures and documentation standards
· Participate in internal review processes and address comments prior to issuance
· Maintain organized project files in accordance with firm SOPs
Required Qualifications
· Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required
· Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
· 2–6 years of experience in a Revit-based architectural practice
· Demonstrated experience producing construction documents
· Understanding of architectural drawing standards and coordination
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with commercial, multifamily, industrial, or workplace projects
· Familiarity with consultant model coordination workflows
· Experience working within established Revit standards and templates
· Proficiency with Bluebeam and PDF markup workflows
