About The Job
The North America Rewards Director is a key role within the Opella organization responsible for the management of the Reward function for the North America region, and for providing expert Rewards support for the Opella Global One Finance and Growth Hub functions.
As part of the Global Rewards Leadership Team and as a manager of a Benefits expert, the role will require strong change management skills and an ability to apply expertise in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, Performance, Recognition and Wellbeing to support Opella’s journey towards becoming the best Consumer Healthcare company in and for the world.
While driving the Opella Reward strategy across the Americas region, the role will deliver seamless support to business leaders and the People & Culture teams within their direct responsibility.

About The Job

Main Responsibilities
- Coach and develop the Opella North America Benefits Manager.
- As a member of the Global Rewards Leadership Team for Opella, help to shape the Global Rewards strategy, develop Rewards talent and represent the needs of your customers.
- Partner with the business leaders and People & Culture (P&C) Teams in North America, Finance and the Global Growth Hub to anticipate their Rewards needs.
- Grow Rewards competencies and best practices sharing mindset within North America P&C and manager communities.
- Ensure smooth governance and operation of the Reward function in the North America region, and in the Finance and Growth Hub functions.
- With the support of the North America Benefits Manager and the Global benefits team, manage the Opella US Benefits strategy.
- Monitor the competitive Fast-Moving Consumer Healthcare marketplace to benchmark Rewards externally and develop ideas for innovation and constant improvement.
- Partner with P&C and Finance teams in North America to ensure Compensation & Benefits is effectively captured in terms of Personnel Cost and Cashflow planning.
- Play a lead role in North America for the communication and governance for the global bonus plan. In a similar way, partner with the commercial excellence teams on sales incentive plans and the site leadership teams on factory incentive plans.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the International Mobility processes in North America, providing the International Mobility Team with frontline insights and support.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in Reward roles or in similar professional environments with Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare experience a plus
- Strong team working skills including an ability to work across borders, cultures and within multi-disciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication skills including the ability to prepare and present technical topics to meetings in a way that is easy to understand
- Strong project management, numeracy and technical skills including working experience of excel and database systems.
- Networking, Business Partnering and Business Acumen skills.
- Complete fluency in English is a must
