Opechee Construction Corporation is seeking a talented Lead Design Architect with broad experience to join our design/build firm in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
Opechee Construction Corporation is an integrated design/build firm that employs architects, engineers, construction professionals, and real estate professionals to design and construct new commercial buildings throughout New England. As part of its integrated approach, Opechee only constructs what it designs, and has built a strong reputation in the industry by consistently meeting its customers’ functional, economic, and aesthetic needs with each new project.
Responsibilities include:
- Take a lead role to develop overall building design concepts that focus on utilizing readily available materials in a creative approach. This would include exterior façade composition, interior layout & selection of building materials.
- Assist senior-management through all design phases, including meeting with prospective developers in the initial sales process.
- Be proficient in graphic, presentation & rendering programs to produce all graphic illustrations of site concepts, building plans, elevations & 3D renderings for use in proposal document packages.
- Be proficient in Revit to develop 3D building models for the proposal package that can then be used as a basis for construction documents.
- Have a thorough understanding of Structural & MEP systems to ensure efficiency during initial concepts.
- Be thorough in reviewing zoning regulations & good knowledge of building code requirements.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- 8 years’ experience with Commercial, Residential & Hospitality projects. Licensed or working towards becoming a Licensed Architect.
- Proficient in Revit.
- Outstanding graphic presentation skills.
- Experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office & rendering software.
- Thorough knowledge of ADA, building & zoning codes.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation:
The annual salary for this position starts at $150,000, with a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, 401k, and unlimited PTO.
