Opdenaker Trash & Recycling is a family-owned and -operated company that has been providing trash and recycling removal services in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware for over 55 years. Our company is seeking full-time, reliable, and hard-working professional truck drivers to collect commercial and residential wastes and recyclables and transport them to the appropriate disposal facility. Start time is 5:15 am, Monday through Friday, with some Saturday work. There is the potential for overtime. A qualified candidate will have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and an excellent attitude. Experience with front-end and/or rolloff trucks is a plus.

- Maintain a valid PA or DE Commercial Driver License (CDL Class B or equipvalent) with air brake endorsement
- Ability to meet all requied DOT physical and medical requirements
- Ability to safely operate truck in accordance with DOT Regulations, Company Procedures and Policies, and Best Management Practices
- Ability to use designated electronic system that delineates the route/pickups/work orders
- Commuincate with Dispatch to enusre all stops are picked up, to receive any special instructions, and to communicate any questions about a pickup to Dispatch
- Transport municipal wastes or recyclables to the approved disposal facility
- Obtain load weight tickets and sign for loads at the apporved disposal facility
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and document them in Opdenaker's electronic record system
- Pass a pre-hire drug and alcohol screen test per DOT regulations and company policy
- Pass random drug and alcohol est per DOT regulations and company policy
- Adhere to company's operating procedures and safety policies and practices
- Attend and participate in Company traning and safety meetings
- Ability to deal with customers and co-workers in an effective and courtesy manner
- Maintain a vehicle which is clean inside and out and presents a positive public image of Opdenaker
- Minimum of 1-year commerical driving experience
- Able to start at 5:15 am, Monday through Friday as well as some Saturdays; typically work 8 hours per day
- Ability to arrive at Opdenaker's Aston, PA facility on time each scheduled workday
- Flexibility to work another route or handle additional stops when needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push/pull wheeled containers of trash/recylcables that require a heavy pushing/pulling force for up to several hundred feet and up and down inclines, depending on the customer's location
- Manually assist helpers with the collection of trash as well as large or heavy objects
- Ability and flexibility to climb in and out of the truck as well as stoop or bend unassisted as needed mulitple times a day
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather
- $25 - $30 per hour
- Overtime eligible at 1.5X over 40 hours in a work week
