HR Generalist

Skilled Nursing & Senior Living

Love HR but don’t want to spend your entire day behind a desk? We may have the role for you!

We’re looking for an HR Generalist who enjoys being where the action is... inside our communities, working alongside leaders, developing HR professionals, solving problems, strengthening culture, and helping teams succeed. Reporting to the Regional HR Manager, you’ll support multiple skilled nursing and senior living communities and serve as a hands-on HR partner to our facility Payroll/HR Coordinators and leadership teams. This isn’t just about answering HR questions. It’s about building stronger HR and management teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop Our PHRs: Coach, educate, and support facility PHRs so they become confident, knowledgeable HR partners. You’ll help them strengthen their skills in employee relations, investigations, onboarding, engagement, HR systems, documentation, and day-to-day HR operations.

  • Bring Employee Engagement to Life: Partner with facilities to develop and implement center and regional engagement initiatives that make employees feel welcomed, recognized, connected, and valued.

  • Make Onboarding Better: Help our communities create an onboarding experience that goes beyond paperwork. You’ll review processes, identify gaps, share best practices, and help ensure new employees get the right start from Day One.

  • Turn HR Systems Into HR Solutions: Help PHRs and leaders understand and effectively use our HR systems, tools, and workflows. You’ll review how processes are working in the real world, identify inefficiencies, and help make HR easier and more effective.

  • Tackle the Tough HR Stuff: Support PHRs with workplace investigations and employee relations concerns while taking the lead on more complex matters involving issues such as sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, serious misconduct, and other sensitive employee concerns.

  • Be Our Boots on the Ground: Healthcare is fast-paced and sometimes our facilities need HR there. You’ll provide hands-on support during state surveys, complaint investigations, regulatory activity, significant employee relations matters, and other situations requiring regional HR support.

  • Help Build Better Leaders: Work alongside the Regional HR Manager to coordinate management development initiatives and trainings. And yes, you may get the microphone! You’ll have opportunities to facilitate training and coach leaders on communication, accountability, employee relations, performance management, and other HR topics.

You’ll Love This Role If You…
  • Enjoy coaching and developing others instead of simply giving them the answer.

  • Like being in the field and connected to operations.

  • Can build relationships while still holding people accountable.

  • Aren’t afraid of a challenging employee relations issue or complex investigation.

  • Can walk into a facility, understand what’s happening, and help create a plan.

  • Believe great onboarding and employee engagement can make a real difference in retention.

  • Enjoy training leaders and making HR concepts practical and understandable.

  • Can balance compassion, consistency, compliance, and good business judgment.

  • Are comfortable working independently while staying closely aligned with your Regional HR Manager.

  • Thrive in an environment where no two days look exactly the same.

What We’re Looking For
  • We’re looking for someone with 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, including meaningful experience with employee relations and workplace investigations.

  • Experience in skilled nursing, senior living, healthcare, multi-site operations, or another highly regulated environment is strongly preferred.

  • You should also be comfortable traveling throughout your assigned region and spending time directly in the communities you support.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent HR experience will be considered.

Why This Role Matters

Our facility PHRs are closest to our employees and operations. Your job is to help make them exceptional. You’ll be part coach, investigator, trainer, problem-solver, culture champion, and HR partner- with the support and guidance of an experienced Regional HR Manager.

Your success won’t simply be measured by how many HR issues you personally resolve. It will be measured by whether the PHRs and leaders you support become more confident, capable, consistent, and effective because you were there.

If you love HR, enjoy developing people, and want a role where you can actually see the impact of your work, we’d love to meet you!
