The Hospice Administrator is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and strategic direction of the agency. This role ensures regulatory compliance, financial performance, census growth, and exceptional patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and daily operations management of the hospice agency
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards (CHAP, Medicare, NM regulations)
- Drive census growth through strategic referral development and community relationships
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and operational efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and develop interdisciplinary team members
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes
- Monitor KPIs, quality metrics, and implement performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain strong relationships with referral sources, hospitals, SNFs, and community partners
- Ensure readiness for surveys and audits
- Licensed or eligible to serve as Hospice Administrator in New Mexico
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 2-3 years of hospice leadership experience (Administrator, Executive Director, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and compliance standards
- Proven track record of census growth and operational leadership
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets/P&L
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
