We are seeking a dependable and organized Transportation Aide to join our team at a skilled nursing facility. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of resident transportation to and from medical appointments.
CNA certification is required, as it enables hands-on assistance with residents during transport when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee scheduling of resident transportation
- Ensure residents are transported safely and on time to medical appointments
- Drive facility vehicle when needed
- Communicate with nursing staff to ensure resident transport needs are met
- Provide hands-on assistance to residents during transport, when necessary
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, and schedule maintenance
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required)
- 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or nursing home (preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to lift and assist residents as needed during transport
