As a Certified Medication Technician (CMT), you’ll work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse to ensure medications are administered safely and timely. Your role is vital in maintaining the highest quality of resident care and supporting the nursing team throughout the shift.
What You’ll Do
- Administer medications accurately and on time under nurse supervision
- Promptly report any changes in resident condition to the Patient Care Supervisor
- Document PRN medication administration following charting guidelines
- Assist with medication inventory and reorder reporting
- Participate in required trainings, meetings, and ongoing education
- Maintain all necessary certification and comply with medication aide policies
- Current Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification (required)
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Previous patient care experience preferred but not required
- Dependability and attention to detail in medication administration
