What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEAD 2 position at OPAL FOODS COOPERATIVE INC?
Opal Foods is accepting applications for a Lead 2 at our Timberview Pullets Farm in Neosho,MO. This position is a hands-on working position that oversees any issues related to the pullets’ feed, water, air, and overall health, as well as supervising all househands at the assigned facility. This position ensures proper training of househands and their compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations.
Essential Job Functions – Must be able to perform these tasks with or without reasonable accommodations.
1. Ensure people are fulfilling roles, and that all farm machinery is working properly
2. Assign tasks to househands and provide overall guidance
3. Ensure quality spray vaccination of pullets by properly mixing vaccines and water, and evenly distributing vaccine to
all pullets at the time determined by the Pullet Vaccination Program
4. Ensure the house-hand team follows feed and water program and accurate record keeping
5. Ensure househands have needed supplies
6. Ensure househands are trained on job responsibilities
7. Euthanize sick/debilitated birds when necessary following company humane animal handling procedures and policies
as well as train new members to do so according to these standards (Team members must be trained properly before
completing this task)
Other Responsibilities
1. Help clean out and prepare houses between flocks
2. Other duties as assigned

2. Must be available to be scheduled for work 7 days a week including holidays
