Opal Foods is accepting applications for the position of Case Stacker/Floor Maintenance for our Egg Processing Plant in Roggen, CO. This position is responsible for cleaning up broken eggs and processing them through a centrifuge, emptying trash, and helping to maintain a clean and safe working environment. As Stacker, stacks cases of eggs on to pallets, verifies cases are sealed properly and have the correct labels, and helps manage tape machine. Will be cross-trained in other positions and help out where needed.
Position Responsibilities:
- Use provided hand tools to clean up broken egg from the floor and deposit into totes
- Empty totes as they fill up throughout the day
- Empty barrels of broken egg into centrifuge to separate shells from liquid
- Place liquid in containers and stage for transport
- Dispose of egg shells as directed
- Empty trash throughout the day
- Keep floors clear of broken egg and debris
- Responsible for helping other positions as needed
- Work at a fast pace, on your feet for the majority of the day
- Must be able to comfortably lift 40-70 lbs. up to 5 feet high
Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)
- Follow all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMP
- Requires bending, kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, turning, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination
- Must be dependable and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
