Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as ChowBus POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage prep stations, and seating areas to meet food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, and give accurate change using cash handling best practices
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high-quality standards
- Follow food safety procedures during food preparation and beverage service to ensure a safe environment for all guests
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cashiering is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and managing register operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
