Process Engineering Co-op Student (8 or 12 months)

Your Role:

• Undertake calculations, analysis and simulations from basic or first principles following established design practices as directed by senior engineers.
• Prepare basic design and/or engineering reports when requested.
• Become familiar with and assist in the management of drawing and document lists, distribution matrices, squad check coordination and records management.
• Become familiar with applicable industry codes and standards.
• Preparing and managing material take-offs and requisition packages.
• Interface with project team members to complete assigned tasks.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a 3rd or 4th year Chemical Engineering Program or relevant discipline.
• Experience using 3D AutoCad or equivalent considered an asset.
• Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to summarize, organizational planning and problem solver.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Sound judgement and initiative.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.

The salary rate for this position is $24-$26 per hour. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
