Job Description

We have big plans for the North American market (our largest) and are looking for a visionary and driven leader to take our direct-to-consumer (DTC) eCommerce channel to the next level.


What you’ll do

The Head of eCommerce for North America will play a pivotal role, responsible for defining, owning, and executing the overall eCommerce strategy for Ooni's North American market, driving significant, profitable growth across Ooni.com and marketplaces, including Amazon and others. This leader will have P&L ownership for the regional eCommerce business and will ensure Ooni delivers a world-class, seamless customer experience that embodies our brand values.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & P&L Ownership

  • Develop, own, and execute the North American eCommerce strategy to meet and exceed ambitious targets.

  • Manage the full eCommerce P&L, including forecasting, budget management, and cost optimization, to drive strong ROI.

  • Serve as the regional subject matter expert on eCommerce trends, consumer behavior, competitive landscape, and technology for North America.

  • Share insights and actively engage with our retailer partners to improve Ooni’s presence on retail.com

2. Digital & Trading Performance

  • Oversee all digital trading and merchandising across all eCommerce touchpoints.

  • Collaborate with the Performance Marketing team to optimize all traffic-driving channels.

  • Drive continuous website optimization to enhance the customer journey and improve conversion rates.

  • Provide requirements to global teams to optimize the tech stack for North American eCommerce.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Omnichannel

  • Partner closely with the North American Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to ensure a cohesive, unified brand and shopping experience across all channels.

  • Work closely with the Head of eCommerce EUROW to align global eComm strategy, tailoring execution for the North American market.

  • Partner with sales to elevate the Ooni experience on retailer websites.

  • Collaborate with the Operations team to optimize fulfilment, logistics, returns, and inventory management for the North American DTC business.

  • Act as the voice of the North American online customer, providing regional insights to the global product and brand teams.

4. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing, data-driven eCommerce team, using Ooni's core values.

  • Cultivate a culture of rigorous testing, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the eCommerce function.


What you’ll need to succeed

  • 8 years of progressive experience in eCommerce, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role (Head of/Director level) managing an eCommerce P&L for a premium, consumer-focused product business (DTC essential, experience with consumer goods/appliances a plus).

  • Experience with marketplaces like Amazon.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and scaling a multi-million dollar eCommerce business in the North American market.

  • Deep expertise in eCommerce platforms (Shopify experience is highly preferred), web analytics (Google Analytics 4 etc), and digital marketing channels.

  • Strong commercial acumen and proven ability to translate data and analytics into actionable, profitable business strategies.

  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Strategic thinker with an operational mindset - able to define the vision and execute the day-to-day.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree desired but not essential).

  • A passion for food, cooking, or, ideally, pizza!
