Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic laws, and excellent driving skills. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, route driving, and load & unload operations are highly preferred. The position offers an opportunity to work with different trailer types including flatbed, dump truck, and logging trucks, ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks across assigned routes
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such when necessary
- Transport goods via route driving, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during operation of the vehicle
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds and haul trailers as needed
- Communicate effectively with owners regarding delivery any issues encountered during transit
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently
- Familiarity with various trailer types such as Haul trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
- Skilled in load & unload procedures and safe cargo securing techniques
- Knowledge of freight handling and route planning for efficient deliveries
- Ability to operate loading equipment is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and traffic regulations for commercial driving
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route driving logistics
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with owners

Pay: $500.00 - $1,600.00 per week
