Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items including sushi rolls, beverages, and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transactions processing
• Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including cocktail service and beverage pairing recommendations based on guest preferences
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations; assist with food handling and kitchen support when needed
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere

Skills

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant environments, or the food industry with a focus on sushi or fine dining preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and sales management
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and process sales efficiently
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service to enhance guest experiences
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills for order calculations, bill splitting, and cash handling
• Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Hospitality-oriented attitude with strong guest relations skills; previous host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure
