Weekend Caregiver — Dementia Care
Onyx Home Health Solutions | St. Augustine, Florida
Schedule: Every other Friday at 4:30 p.m. through Monday at 7:30 a.m., including three overnight stays
Pay: $20 per compensable hour, plus applicable overtime

Onyx Home Health Solutions, a nurse-owned and operated home care agency, is seeking a caring, compassionate, and dependable CNA or HHA to provide weekend care for a client living with dementia.
Responsibilities
Pick up the client from the adult day center on Friday at 4:30 p.m.- Remain in the client’s home throughout the weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
- Provide companionship, reassurance, and assistance with daily activities as needed.
- Prepare meals and support the client’s established routine.
- Transport and accompany the client for approved shopping, dining, and weekend outings.
- Respond to care and safety needs, including needs arising overnight.
- Return the client to the adult day center on Monday at 7:30 a.m.
- Accurately document care, working time, nighttime interruptions, and client-related mileage.
Qualifications
Current CNA certification or documentation of HHA training.- Experience caring for individuals diagnosed with dementia.
- A patient, compassionate, attentive, and dependable approach.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance.
- Willingness to transport the client for approved outings.
- Ability to commit to the entire assignment every other weekend.
- Strong communication skills and professional boundaries.
- Ability to meet agency screening requirements, including a Level II background screening.
Overnight Schedule and Compensation
Appropriate sleeping accommodations will be provided. The scheduled sleep period is 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. and will be unpaid when the mutually agreed sleep-time exclusion requirements are met.
All nighttime care interruptions will be paid. If interruptions prevent at least five total hours of reasonable sleep during that period, the entire eight-hour period will be paid. Overtime will be paid when applicable.
Client-related mileage reimbursement and transportation procedures will be reviewed before the assignment begins.
