- Partner cross-functionally with key business unit leaders to ensure timely and accurate translation and delivery of information
- Implement processes that reduce manual work, increase accuracy, and scale as we grow
- Help define what “great” looks like in an emerging finance function—establishing timelines, documentation, and accountability for recurring tasks
- Be a hands-on problem solver with the judgment to know when to escalate and when to take initiative
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, revenue recognition adjustments, inventory accounting, general ledger review, and financial reporting
- Oversee and support AR/AP clerk in day-to-day billing, collections, and vendor payment activities
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and balance sheet accounts
- Own fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
- Support cash-to-accrual transition and clean-up of historical accounting records

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a product or inventory-based business
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required; NetSuite or enterprise ERP experience a strong plus
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
- Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred:
- CPA or progress toward certification
- Led or been part of an ERP implementation
- Experience in food, beverage, CPG, or manufacturing environments
