Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in a professional and energetic manner
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store remains inviting and well-maintained
- Manage the cash drawer responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and maintaining positive communication via phone etiquette when needed
- Assist with merchandising efforts to showcase products effectively and support inventory management
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
- Strong cashiering skills with excellent cash register operations and cash drawer handling abilities
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership in a retail environment is a plus
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, pricing, and inventory counts
- Bilingual communication skills to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Knowledge of retail store product details through product demos and merchandising expertise
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette
- Experience in stocking, inventory management, and grocery store operations is advantageous
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly approach
- Familiarity with basic math concepts necessary for retail math calculations
