Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Operator, located in Jacksonville, NC. The Chief Operator will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining equipment. Duties include serving as facilities back-up ORC, monitoring and adjusting treatment processes, performing laboratory tests, troubleshooting operational issues, and keeping detailed records of plant operations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in wastewater treatment operations
- Proficiency in environmental compliance and regulation adherence
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and repair
- Supervisory and leadership skills
- Significant laboratory testing and troubleshooting capabilities
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
- Relevant certifications and training in wastewater treatment- NC Grade 4 Biological certification and NC Surface irrigation certification required.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, further education preferred
- Experience in a similar role is highly beneficial
