Role Description
The Step-on Guide plays a key role in delivering outstanding guided experiences for clients visiting the Pacific Northwest. This seasonal, on-site position involves leading group tours, providing engaging and informative commentary, facilitating smooth logistics, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all travelers. The Step-on Guide will collaborate with the operations team to execute tours that meet high standards of quality and professionalism while embodying the values of excellent customer service and hospitality.
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and public speaking skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills for coordinating logistics
- Customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to address diverse group needs
- Knowledge of the Pacific Northwest, and its history, attractions, and culture
- Upbeat and enthusiastic demeanor with the ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences
- Ability to manage group dynamics and a commitment to ensuring client satisfaction
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage on-site challenges in real time
- Previous experience as a tour guide or in a related hospitality or tourism role is an advantage
