We’re partnering with our client, a high-reliability aerospace & defense technology company, to hire a Principal Electrical Engineer (PCBA/Hardware). This is an on-site, temporary opportunity to work on advanced targeting and mission-system hardware, with hands-on ownership across the full board-development lifecycle.
Principal Electrical Engineer (PCBA/Hardware) Responsibilities:
- Design and develop board-level electrical hardware, including schematic capture and component selection
- Own and manage electrical interfaces across digital, analog, and power domains
- Lead or support integration of processors, sensors, and high-speed interfaces (up to 10 Gbps)
- Partner closely with PCB layout to ensure signal integrity, manufacturability, and standards compliance
- Perform board bring-up, lab debug, validation, and troubleshooting through development and early production
Principal Electrical Engineer (PCBA/Hardware) Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (M.S. preferred)
- 8 years of electronic hardware design and development experience
- Background in fast-paced, high-reliability engineering environments
- Experience with schematic capture tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition
- Familiarity with analysis/simulation tools such as LTSPICE
- Bonus: exposure to MIL-STD, DO-254, or aerospace/defense hardware standards
