What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-Store Graphic Designer position at Onward Search?
Our client, a notable apparel brand, is seeking a temporary Graphic Designer (Marketplace) to support their in-store graphics team on a temporary basis (35/hrs weekly), this role is 3-months to start with the potential for extension.
Location: REMOTE - USA based only
Duration: 3 months, with chance to extend
- Execute 2D design solutions for retail environments, including signage, graphic systems, campaign assets, and in-store storytelling elements
- Translate campaign concepts into clear, visually compelling graphics that guide and educate customers in-store
- Support the development of scalable toolkits, templates, and layout systems for consistent execution
- Partner with senior designers to support campaign rollouts and retail initiatives
- Create production-ready files and collaborate with vendors to ensure quality and feasibility
- Contribute to evergreen and seasonal retail communications
- Assist with localized and store-specific adaptations of campaign graphics
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Retail, Marketing, Creative, and Production teams
- Ensure strong typography, layout, and visual hierarchy principles
- Manage multiple workstreams with attention to detail and timelines
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in graphic design
- Strong 2D design portfolio with typography and layout expertise
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with SketchUp or similar 3D tools (nice-to-have)
- Experience creating scalable systems and templates
- Ability to translate brand direction into production-ready assets
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and production partners
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Retail or in-store design experience strongly preferred.
Salary : $30 - $40
