Overview
We’re partnering with a leading industry client to find a talented Beauty / Cosmetics Video Editor to support a creative team. This on-site opportunity is expected to last between 5 and 9 weeks, with the potential for permanent placement afterward.
**MUST HAVE experience in video editing for beauty / cosmetics brands, along with recent samples of that work.**
The role involves crafting engaging video content for various digital platforms, including social media, and maintaining high standards of post-production quality.
Type: Contract-to-hire, fully on-site M-F near Santa Monica, awesome studio
Schedule: Regular business hours daily
Duration: Around 2 months, and likely conversion to a direct hire if you are the right overall match!
Pay: $40 - $45/hr, paid weekly, benefits eligible. Salary conversion will be $80,000 to $90,000.

Video Editor Responsibilities:
- Assist senior editors and creative leadership in shaping video content for short-form and long-form platforms, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, brand films, sizzles, and case studies
- Import, transcode, sync, and organize raw footage and assets within established workflows
- Build rough assemblies and string outs based on creative briefs or scripts, maintaining clear timelines and labeling systems
- Support light color correction, audio leveling, and motion graphics under guidance from senior editors
- Keep project files organized and manage storage workflows across shared drives and cloud platforms
- Export, encode, and deliver final videos in multiple aspect ratios and codecs optimized for social and digital platforms
- Manage revisions, versioning, and delivery according to specifications and stakeholder feedback
- Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure consistency with brand standards
- Troubleshoot common post-production issues and assist with basic software/hardware setup when necessary
- Stay current on emerging editing tools, platform requirements, and content best practices
Video Editor Qualifications:
- 3 years of hands-on video editing or post-production experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro; overall knowledge of After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn and apply feedback
- Passion for culture, social media, and content that captures attention
- Strong understanding of video codecs, terminology, and editing workflows
- DaVinci Resolve familiarity
- Experience working with ARRI / RED / Canon / Phantom footage workflows
