Paraprofessional / RBT [83936]

Onward Education is partnering with a school in Boulder County, Colorado to hire a Paraprofessional / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for the 2026/2027 school year. This is a part-time, on-site opportunity supporting an elementary Intensive Autism program.

This role is ideal for an experienced special education professional who is flexible, dependable, and comfortable supporting students with autism in a structured school-based setting.

The Paraprofessional / RBT provides instructional, behavioral, and classroom support under the direction of licensed school staff. You’ll help implement established student supports and behavioral strategies while contributing to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for students with autism.

Position Details:

• Role: Paraprofessional / RBT (Elementary Autism Program)
• Location: On-site
• Schedule: Approximately 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Hours: 20 hours per week (part-time)
• School year: 2026/2027
• Pay range: $27–$30 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Support students in an elementary intensive learning center setting, with a focus on autism support.
• Assist with classroom routines, learning activities, and small-group/individual support as directed.
• Implement behavioral strategies and support plans with fidelity and professionalism.
• Monitor student progress/behavior and communicate observations to school staff.
• Help ensure a safe environment during transitions and daily school activities.
• Collaborate as a flexible team player with teachers, specialists, and school leadership.

Qualifications:

• Current RBT certification (or previously certified RBT).
• Must not be in training (no BCBA supervision is available for this assignment).
• Minimum 2 years of special education public school classroom experience (training/private facility experience will not be considered in place of classroom experience).
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site consistently.
• Strong collaboration skills, flexibility, and professionalism.
