Job Description:
As a Travel Plaza Cashier at Onvo, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing excellent service while accurately processing sales transactions and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Operately accurately and efficiently handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Scan and bag merchandise, ensuring correct pricing and quantity.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking shelves and rotating products as needed.
- Assist with general store duties, such as cleaning, sweeping, and trash removal.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints or escalate to management when necessary.
- Process lottery ticket sales and tobacco product sales in compliance with all regulations.
- Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
