Onvo is seeking a friendly and efficient Travel Plaza Cashier to process transactions, assist customers, and maintain a clean and organized sales area within our travel plaza.
Job Responsibilities:
* Accurately process customer transactions using a POS system, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.
* Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product location.
* Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area, including stocking shelves, fronting products, and cleaning counters.
* Handle cash and manage change fund accurately, adhering to company cash handling procedures.
* Scan and bag merchandise efficiently.
* Assist with other duties as assigned by management, such as light cleaning or stocking.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including age-restricted sales (e.g., lottery, tobacco).
* Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues to management as needed.
Job Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably as a cashier, is a plus.
* Ability to accurately handle cash and perform basic mathematical calculations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
* Must be at least 18 years of age due to nature of products sold.
