Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician performs drug distribution activities including: delivery of medications to patient care and procedural areas, preparing & labeling unit dose medications, restocking automated dispensing cabinets, and assisting with basic medication inventory maintenance. Provides professional and courteous service by answering and triaging phone calls and responding to medication requests from nursing and outside customers.

Responsibilities:

Provides professional and courteous service by answering and triaging phone calls and responding to medication requests from nursing and outside customers.

Prepares & labels unit dose medications.

Restocks automated dispensing cabinets.

Performs basic inventory maintenance.

Provides customer service: answering phone calls, responding to missing medication requests.

Servicing departmental or outside customer medication requests.

REQUIRED:

• 0 years experience
• HS DIPLOMA/GED
• CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (CPhT)
• Pharmacy Technician
