Summary
The Pharmacy Resident completes a one-year post-graduate intensive training and development program per an established curriculum meeting ASHP Residency Program standards and under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and Residency Program Director. Completes experiential rotations in a variety of acute and ambulatory practice settings within our health system. Performs services related to the review, preparation, and distribution of pharmaceuticals in accordance with medical practitioner orders and advises practitioners and patients regarding the proper usage of prescribed drugs under strict supervision. Provides educations and training to the department and others, including the precepting of pharmacy students.
Responsibilities
Evaluates of medication drug therapies.
Answers drug information questions.
Completes assigned tasks as required by the residency program (i.e. MUE, journal clubs, etc.).
