What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiology Nurse Practitioner position at Onvida Health?
Join a growing cardiology program with a high-volume service and expanding structural heart program. This is a great opportunity for an APP looking to practice at the top of their scope with strong physician support and autonomy.
Position Highlights:
• Mix of inpatient & outpatient (primarily inpatient)
• Monday–Friday schedule
• No call currently (with potential as program grows)
• High-volume consult service
• Supportive, collaborative cardiology team
• MA support structured onboarding
What You’ll Do:
✔ Inpatient rounding on cardiology patients
✔ Manage cardiology consults (chest pain, HF, arrhythmias, etc.)
✔ Serve as 1st call for inpatient cardiology needs
✔ Supervise diagnostic testing (stress tests, TEEs, etc.)
✔ Participate in outpatient clinic (new & follow-ups)
✔ Coordinate care, adjust treatment plans, and support discharges
Practice Environment:
• Autonomy in your role with cardiologist support available
• Supervisory involvement in procedures (not primary operator)
• Clinic schedule: 30-min new & follow-up visits
