Summary:
The Close Out Specialist collects, maintains and establishes file systems to ensure easy access by project personnel and provide requested or required information to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite general support primarily in project closeout.
- Perform closeouts of simplified acquisitions and various contract types.
- Review, prepare and submit closeout documents.
- Input information into Purchase Order Request system, Quick Base, Timberline and any customer databases.
- Retrieve information from various systems.
- Process closeout activity by working with the Construction and Project Managers as well as customer representatives.
- Maintain contracts file management system.
- Completes daily and weekly reports to track metrics throughout the close-out procedure.
- Possess a basic understanding and ability to research contractual documentation.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools are controls; reach with hands and arms
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines
- Occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing and participate in random testing program
- Position requires working indoors in a professional office atmosphere
- Must possess valid driver’s license and are required to drive company vehicles
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines, with flexibility
- Should be able to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential issues
- Must be familiar with MicroSoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must have good customer service skills and overall understanding of accounting and construction
- Must have strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities
- Must be a team player and possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Must be team oriented, have a strong work ethic, and be able to meet deadlines

This position does not have supervisory requirements
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is an in office position, Monday through Friday.
Travel
No travel requirements are expected for this position
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
Four to six years of accounting experience is preferred
