Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world’s aviation leaders. Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. With over 1,700 employees across four time zones and nine sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace.

Our team is looking for a Commercial Operations Manager to join them. You will report to the Director of Commercial Operations and will have an onsite work structure based in Chatsworth, CA, with a global remit supporting OE Lead Generation across all Ontic sites, and with a particular focus on Chatsworth and Creedmoor. Occasional travel between sites will be required.

We are seeking an experienced, commercially savvy Commercial Operations Manager to lead Ontic’s global OEM lead-generation strategy and unlock new avenues of organic growth. This role is ideal for a senior sales or commercially oriented professional, potentially with a finance background who brings approximately 10 years of experience in business-to-business aerospace environments and a proven ability to deliver revenue impact.

You will play a pivotal role in identifying, shaping, and realizing new business opportunities that drive performance.

To be considered for the Commercial Operations Manager opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 10 years’ experience in outside sales, commercial operations, or commercial administration within a B2B aerospace environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving commercial outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with confidence presenting to peers, customers, and senior leadership.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial fluency, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A data-driven mindset paired with the ability to execute in fast-paced, dynamic, and globally distributed environments.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a passion for identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.

As a Commercial Operations Manager, You Will

Lead OE Lead-Generation Strategy

  • Spearhead all OE lead-generation activities across the Commercial Operations function.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations Data Analysts to identify high-quality new business leads and ensure their accurate capture and management within CRM systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Site Sales Managers to convert leads into tangible revenue and EBITDA growth beyond established targets.

Drive Governance, Insight, and Performance

  • Establish and manage a structured governance framework for lead management, including regular cross-regional reviews to evaluate lead status, timing, and win probability.
  • Develop and deliver monthly reporting for SLT/ELT, providing visibility into pipeline performance and strategic growth opportunities.

Shape and Enhance Global Sales Processes

  • Play a central role in building and deploying a new global Sales Pipeline Process, ensuring standardization, robust metrics, and alignment with best practices.
  • Work in partnership with the CRM Business Partner to ensure consistent, compliant, and effective use of commercial tools and processes across Ontic’s global OE organization.

Salary Range

  • $115,000 – $130,000/year, based on experience
