To be considered for the Accounting Manager opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification
- 5-7 years of experience, preferably with experience at a Big 4 accounting firm
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices and procedures affecting the maintenance of accounting records and automated accounting systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting theory; to work accurately with numerical detail; to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Manage and coach accounting team
- Manage month-end close process, including checklists to keep the team on track for a 3-day close.
- Prepare and review month-end entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist controller with cash forecasting.
- Support the preparation of accurate financial statements and disclosures, including compliance with relevant standards.
- Partner with FP&A to analyze results and prepare related reporting.
- Help maintain internal controls in place and keep documentation up to date.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and handle requests efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting and business processes.
- Assist in maintaining and improving processes and related documentation.
- Ad hoc requests and reporting.
