Accounting Associate - AP & AR (Temporary)

Our team is looking for an Accounting Associate - AP & AR to join them for a temporary 3-month assignment, with the potential to convert to a full-time regular employee. You will report to the Finance Controller and will have an onsite work structure in Chatsworth, California. To be considered for the Accounting Associate - AP & AR opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: High school diploma; degree preferred. At least one year of clerical accounting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including familiarity with computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs. As an Accounting Associate - AP & AR, you will: Review of customer accounts for overdue balances and make collection calls. Assist with month-end bank reconciliations. Process customer payments and record daily cash receipts. Review transactional data. Post customer payments to Accounts Receivable Ledger. Ensure accounts and incoming payments are compliant with financial policies and procedures. Verify online banking and resolve any match-pay issues. Work with banking entities on Lockbox deposits daily. Reconcile the receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Verify discrepancies and resolve customers’ billing issues. Partner with Customer Service to resolve account delinquencies. Reconcile all assigned general ledger accounts. Perform ad hoc projects as required. Consistently provide excellent service to all internal and external customers. Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
