Unarmed Security Officers

Ontel Security Services, Inc. is looking for Security Officers including Guard Card Only, Chemical Agent and Baton, Armed Security Officer, and Armed Patrol Officers with open availability and current California Guard Card.

Must be 18 years of age or older, with a High School Diploma or GED, that speak, read and write English fluently (bi-lingual is a plus, but English IS the priority). Fulltime and part-time positions available.

• Security Officer Guard Card Only: Starting Pay $17.00 to $17.75 per hour.
• Security Officer Chemical Agent/Baton: Starting Pay $18.00 to $19.00 per hour.
• Armed Officer: Starting Pay $19.75 to $21.00 per hour.*
• Armed Patrol Officer: Starting Pay $21.00-$22.50 per hour.*

*MUST HAVE: Chemical Agent, Baton, and BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit if you apply for positions requiring these certifications.

**NOTE PayScale above is for 2024 Year and is based upon experience**

Ontel is currently hiring for all positions.

The right applicant MUST be willing and able to do the following:

• Available to work on Friday nights, weekends and holidays.
• Willing and able to commute to and from Merced, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties.
• Experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate.
• Ontel has its own BSIS approved training center and discounts are offered to employees for OC, Baton, Exposed Firearm licenses and Exposed Firearms Requalification's.
• We provide two-way radios, and should the need arise, armed supervisory back-up. You are not alone out there!
• Ontel has an excellent working relationship with our local law enforcement agencies. Several of our employees have earned careers in law enforcement, partially attributed to the duties performed while working at Ontel Security.

• In addition to paid sick time employees after 120 days are able to earn paid time off based on hours worked.
