What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient and Visitor Liaison position at Onslow Memorial Hospital?
- Positioned at designated hospital entrance, greets all visitors, patients arriving and departing from the facility. Creates a positive first impression.
- Checks patient appointment information and offers instructions on where and how to proceed.
- Enters the personal information of visitors into the system’s visitor database. Issues visitor passes as temporary IDs to approved visitors.
- Effectively communicates the Visitor Policy/Guidelines and pass instructions for check in/out.
- Familiar with visitor management and Visitor Guideline Policies.
- Utilizing patient inquiry systems and in accordance with HIPAA laws and hospital guidelines, locates inpatient and outpatient information to share with inquiring patients and visitors.
- Answers questions about variety of locations and services throughout the facility and offers directions accordingly.
- Provides wheelchair transport of patients and visitors, as needed and/or requested, to and from designated areas within the facility.
- Assists departing patients and visitors with driving directions, parking information and other general information, as requested.
- Assists in maintaining the tidiness of the information desks and lobbies to ensure the safety of our workspace.
- Floating to entry points to assist with visitor management as needed.
Support the needs of gift shop as needed by assisting customers with purchases, merchandise questions, and/or orders.
Customer service and hospital experience preferred
