What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammo Technician (73086) position at ONSLOW MEMORIAL HOSPITAL?
Performs mammography exams including stereotactic biopsy exams and bone densitometry exams by demonstrating anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Qualifications:Education/Certification:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or registry eligible. If registry eligible, must acquire ARRT(R) within specified guidelines of ARRT. Must have acquired mammography training as specified by FDA & ACR. Then must achieve ARRT(R)(M) within 24 months of hire.
BLS required.
Experience:
Preferred at least 1 year of mammography experience.
