- Receives, processes and posts tax payments and issues receipts.
- Receives, processes and posts delinquent tax payments and issues receipts.
- Assists Deputy Tax Collector with delinquent accounts and processing refunds
- Assists Deputy Tax Collector with researching and processing garnishments; assists with adjustments.
- Research and identify delinquent taxpayers through various programs to assist in the collection of delinquent taxes.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records and files.
- Types a variety of correspondence, prepares letters and sends out notices.
- Creates and/or maintains departmental reports.
- Prepares daily cash report; balances cash drawer; prints a variety of reports pertaining to collections.
- Greet taxpayers in person or by telephone and assist them with taxes or tax records.
- Assists the public with the completion of standardized records and documents.
- Receives citizen's inquiries, complaints and service requests and resolves them within the framework of established policies, procedures, laws.
- Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member, if appointed or volunteer.
- Performs related tasks as required.

Special Requirements
Successful completion of Fundamentals of Property Tax Collection and Property Tax Listing and Assessing within a two-year period.
Valid driver's license.
Salary will be determined by internal equity, candidate's qualifications, budget, and market considerations.
Salary : $19 - $25
