Performs skilled administrative support work for managerial, supervisory, and frontline staff under the Consolidated Human Services (CHS) agency. This position frequently interacts with outside agencies, organizations, and vendors, as is needed to assist in the ordering and distribution of supplies and materials for CHS. The job involves a variety of support functions to include, but not limited to, processing agency purchase orders and printing requests, purchasing supplies with government procurement card, coordinating delivery and acceptance of agency orders, processing returns, updating agency request tracker, entering electronic service requests for building maintenance and repairs, completing minor in-house repairs, processing surplus equipment, maintaining inventory of the agency supply room, and other duties as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Purchasing Agent.

  • Complete and verify documentation.

  • Identify and resolve problems.

  • Maintain and manage statistical, financial, and/or other recordkeeping files.

  • Review and interpret established policies and procedures to respond to client inquiries and provide necessary information

  •  Use a variety of automated office systems and software to establish, retrieve, verify, research, update, and/or authorize processing actions.

  • Performs related duties as required.

  • Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member, if appointed or volunteers.

     
Significant knowledge of office or work unit procedures, methods and practices. Significant knowledge of and ability to use correct grammar, vocabulary, spelling and office terminology to compose and/or proofread correspondence, reports and other materials. Significant knowledge of accounting procedures, mathematics and their application in the work environment. Ability to learn and independently apply laws, and departmental rules and regulations covering programs and services. Ability to review and process information to determine conclusions, actions or compliance with applicable laws, rules or regulations. Ability to apply a variety of work-related formulas or mathematical calculations. Ability to record, compile, summarize and perform basic analysis of data. Ability to independently work with people with courtesy and tact in performing public contact duties that may be sensitive in nature.

Physical Requirements
This is light work requiring the exertion of up to 40 pounds of force very rarely, and/or up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

High school diploma or GED 

Moderate experience with an office computer including email/SharePoint/Munis/other software and related office technology

Moderate experience in administrative support, preferably in a government or human services setting Valid driver's license

Valid driver's license

Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, internal equity, budget, and market considerations.

Salary : $41,954 - $54,538
