KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams. Knowledge of virtual server environments and Scale Computing platform administration.
- Ability to implement and maintain automation services and scripts.
- Superior troubleshooting skills for complex technical problems.
- Superior communication skills for interaction with staff, students, and technical teams. Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to focus and perform effectively under pressure during critical system issues. Ability to document technical processes and maintain accurate system records.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- An associate's degree in Computer Science or related field,
- Two years experience in a district-level Information Technology position, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months
SALARY: State Salary Schedule, Grade 72
FSLA STATUS: Exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and administers the Microsoft 365 tenant, including user provisioning, licensing, and policy configuration.
- Maintains Exchange Online services, including mailbox management, distribution groups, and email security policies.
- Administers SharePoint Online sites, libraries, permissions, and collaboration features for district users.
- Configures and manages Microsoft Teams environments, including channels, policies, and integration services.
- Maintains and monitors the Scale Computing virtual server environment to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Implements and manages automation services to streamline IT operations and reduce manual processes.
- Performs system monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues across enterprise platforms.
- Collaborates with other Systems Administrators to implement IT solutions and maintain system integrity. Documents system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge management. Participates in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing activities.
- Attends training sessions and professional development opportunities to maintain current technical knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to bend, stoop, carry, push, or pull. - Requires ability to transport technology and equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds routinely and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to visually and auditorily effectively communicate with staff and students.
- Must be able to drive to variety of school sites.
