What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crane Technician position at Onsite Personnel LLC?
Duties & Responsibilities: Crane Technician:Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.Perform electrical and /or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), tools, etc.Education & Qualifications: Crane Technician:5 or more years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required.Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, preferred.Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations. This is a physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift 50-100lbs.Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.Ability to work independently.Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner.Communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and the customer the status of the job.Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset.Required to use own hand tools and meter.Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.Onsite Personnel is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce in an inclusive culture environment.
