Overview
This role is supports optimizing the financial performance of distributed energy assets across multiple RTOs, utilities, deal structures, and market programs. The position develops expertise in market participation for dispatchable and renewable assets. The role will support optimization models to maximize value. This role is three days in the office in Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH or Findlay, OH.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Expertise
- Develop subject matter expertise for value streams and available programs within RTO and markets where dispatchable assets – e.g., engines and batteries - are deployed or planned for deployment.
- Develop financial forecasts based on approved strategies, program parameters, and expected asset performance.
- Asset Optimization
- Develop asset optimization models based on asset parameters, load forecasts, market forecasts, contractual commitments and program parameters
- Develop recommended commercial optimization and dispatch strategies
- Collaborate closely with Asset Operations to support client strategies
- Reporting and Analysis
- Analyze asset performance reporting and settlements
- Develop and track revenue forecasts for monetization of environmental attributes generated by assets
- Prepare and provide necessary internal reports and dashboards
Qualifications, Education, Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related fields required with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of energy markets and RTOs is a plus
- High attention to detail
- Effective organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multi-functional team setting
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
