About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Injury Prevention Specialist to join our amazing workplace health & safety team. This role focuses on musculoskeletal injury prevention, ergonomics, movement coaching, and employee education to reduce workplace risks and promote long-term health.
This is a rare, non-clinical opportunity for Athletic Trainers, PTs, or PTAs who want meaningful, proactive work without the stress of back-to-back patient care.

Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Education & Safety Training
- Deliver engaging training on safe movement, ergonomics, early symptom management, and risk reduction.
- Educate both employees and management on proper body mechanics and prevention best practices.
2. Musculoskeletal & Ergonomic Assessments
- Conduct on-site evaluations of workstations, job tasks, and physical demands.
- Identify hazards and develop corrective strategies to minimize injury risks.
3. Injury Prevention Interventions
- Implement OSHA-aligned preventative care strategies.
- Provide early symptom support and movement-based interventions.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with management, frontline staff, and safety teams to support injury prevention programs.
- Assist in developing and improving workplace safety protocols.
5. Reporting & Data Analysis
- Document services, track trends, and report injury data for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety and ergonomic regulations.
- Educate both employees and management on proper body mechanics and prevention best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or related field.
- Credentials: ATC, PTA, PT, or similar movement-focused background.
- 2 years in orthopedics, ergonomics, occupational health, sports performance, or related specialties.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship).
- Strong understanding of biomechanics, movement assessments, ergonomics, and workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse environments.
Work Setting
- Onsite at client locations in industrial, office, and healthcare environments.
- Occasional travel to nearby facilities.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Able to demonstrate ergonomic and movement techniques for extended periods.
- Comfortable in work settings with varying temperatures, sounds, and equipment.
