Role Description
Build an AI quality control system for construction sites. Your focus: extract construction specifications and industry knowledge, then structure it to understand what "correct" vs "incorrect" work looks like.
Responsibilities
- Interview contractors to identify common errors and quality control practices
- Extract requirements from construction standards (building codes, OSHA, trade specifications)
- Structure domain knowledge into well-organized formats
- Create evaluation datasets
- Weekly meetings with team and contractor partners
Qualifications
- Interest in construction, civil engineering, or built environment
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable learning technical material (no coding experience required)
- Good communication skills
- Currently student at MIT
- 6-8 hrs/week during IAP; $18/hour
