This position requires a skilled machinist capable of working independently from engineering drawings, sketches, and customer requirements to produce high-quality components utilizing conventional and CNC machining equipment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate precision components, fixtures, tooling, prototypes, and equipment modifications to required specifications.
- Operate manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, saws, drill presses, and other machine shop equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and sketches.
- Determine appropriate manufacturing methods and machining sequence to efficiently complete projects.
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and modification of existing equipment and tooling.
- Collaborate directly with engineering, maintenance, facilities, and manufacturing teams to develop solutions for operational challenges.
- Select appropriate materials, tooling, cutting parameters, and machining techniques.
- Maintain accurate job documentation and provide status updates on assigned work.
- Support material procurement by identifying required materials and components for assigned projects.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, and efficiency.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- CNC programming and setup experience.
- Welding, fabrication, sheet metal.
- Experience supporting engineering development projects and custom equipment fabrication.
- Advanced machining and fabrication expertise.
