Role Description:
As a small team, the Store Manager is the key to our store operations. Bridging the retail team and the corporate team. The ideal candidate will build and lead our sales team to create a culture that embodies One Nice Shop.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing retail team. Amplify ONS brand values while inspiring growth, ensuring the team delivers top-tier customer service and hits sales targets. Foster an environment of continuous learning and personal development.
- Drive the store's financial performance by setting and exceeding sales goals. Provide ongoing training and feedback to your team to ensure targets are met consistently. Monitor sales trends and adjust strategies as needed to meet both short- and long-term business objectives.
- Ensure every customer enjoys a world-class shopping experience. Create a welcoming, client-focused environment through active coaching and feedback to staff on customer service techniques, visual merchandising, and product knowledge.
- Manage daily store operations, ensuring smooth execution of tasks and processes. Handle store administration, including compliance with company policies and procedures, stock maintenance, inventory management, and visual merchandising standards.
- Oversee staffing needs, including scheduling, recruiting, training, and appraising team members. Ensure proper inventory management and maintain high stock levels of merchandise, analyzing customer needs, buying trends, and profitability to optimize stock levels.
- Utilize POS systems (e.g., Shopify) to ensure efficient inventory tracking, stock rotation, and operational flow. Generate reports on sales, trends, customer preferences, and performance metrics. Use this data to drive informed decision-making and enhance store performance.
- Maintain the store's aesthetic and brand identity through creative and on-brand visual merchandising, ensuring that the store always reflects ONS style and meets the company’s high standards for layout and design.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly Motivated by driving business in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability
- Aligns with and embodies ONS guiding principles
- Business owner mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Requires constant movement in and around all areas of store
- Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder
- Ability to stand and move for an entire shift
