Position Overview

We are seeking a highly engaging and professional Contract Sales Trainer to deliver impactful training experiences for retail sales associates across the Southeast. This role is ideal for a seasoned retail professional who understands how to connect with sales teams, influence behavior, and drive results in a fast-paced showroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic, in-person sales training sessions in retail stores and group settings

• Lead weekend training events and conduct mid-week in-store visits

• Train associates to confidently present and sell furniture protection plans

• Reinforce selling skills including customer engagement, needs discovery, and objection handling

• Partner with store leadership to support training participation and follow-through

• Represent the Guardian brand with professionalism, energy, and credibility

Qualifications

• Extensive retail sales experience (furniture industry strongly preferred)

• Proven sales training experience, ideally within multi-unit retail environments

• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies

• Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills—polished, confident, and engaging

• High energy, enthusiastic, and results-oriented

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and punctuality

• Comfortable working directly with retail sales associates on the showroom floor

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly within VA, NC, SC, and GA

Additional Requirements

• Must reside in the Southeast U.S. (preference given to VA, NC, SC, GA candidates)

• Availability for weekend training events and flexible weekday travel

• Ability to deliver a virtual training presentation as part of the interview process

• Independent contractor (1099) status
