Daytime Working Supervisor | Virginia Beach
Pay Rate: Starting pay at 16.00 an hour
General Purpose:
Oversees and assists with the accurate and timely cleaning of commercial and retail office facilities in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach. The Town Center Working Supervisor assists the Area Manager in overseeing daily operations of Day Porter staff for multiple buildings. You will need a clean background check and the ability to pass a drug screen.
Schedule:
This position is a full-time role with variable hours totaling 40 hours per week. The schedule may fluctuate based on business needs, with shifts that could vary from day to day or week to week. While the standard expectation is 40 hours per week, occasional overtime may be required, particularly during peak periods, to support critical projects or deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as an example of professionalism in appearance and conduct to both employees and customers at all times.
- Builds positive relationships with managers, supervisors, building cleaning staff and customers.
- Coordinates with Building Leads/Day Porters to ensure that all buildings are maintained at the highest level of cleaning.
- Coordinates and/or provides Day Porter coverage of all buildings each day.
- Supervises outside Day Porter services such as the loading docks, retail stairwells, pressure washing and service halls.
- Responsible for monthly cleaning of retail vacancies.
- Meets and communicates daily inspection schedules.
- Maintains the monthly supply inventory.
- Coaches and re-trains Team Cleaners as needed to maintain maximum building standards.
- Works with the Area Manager to properly administer disciplinary paperwork when necessary.
- Trains new employees in proper cleaning procedures and building Scope of Work.
- Oversees and reports supply and equipment issues.
- Utilizes and becomes proficient with TEAM software/eHub on your telephone.
- Monitors and responds to Action Items on eHub.
- Attends regular Supervisor Meetings.
- Attends monthly one on one meeting with the Site Lead and Area Manager.
- Completes all other tasks assigned to you by OnPoint’s management staff.
Qualifications/Education/Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months experience with OnPoint Building Services.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred but not required.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must have a valid state driver license with a clean driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation to job location.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires bending, twisting, lifting (up to 25 pounds), stretching, reaching, and standing for extended periods of time.
